On 22 May 2008, the Fort George G. Meade Museum hosted a Memorial Day service with MAJ Glenn Williams (retired) as the featured guest speaker. The service began with the playing of bagpipes by Forrest M. Taylor, Pipe Major, 2nd Armored Cavalry Regiment (not shown) and concluded with the lowering of the flag by the DINFOS Honor Guard (lower left). Museum Curator Robert Johnson hosted the ceremony and introduced each speaker, Chaplain Michael Punke gave the invocation, and the Installation Commander, COL Kenneth McCreedy presented the introductory remarks.
