    The Fort Meade golf course closed May 1, 2012, to accommodate construction tied to mission growth.

    How do I request lodging at Fort Meade for TDY?

    You may call the Army Lodging office at 410-674-7700 or DSN 622-2045 60 days in advance of your report date. The office's fax number is 301-677-2309.

    I would like to make reservations for my family to visit. What do I need to do, or can my family make their own reservations?

    Army Lodging accepts reservation from active-duty service members and Reservists, as well as Department of Defense retirees and civilians. If your family member is not a valid DoD ID cardholder, they must be sponsored by the service member.

    If I'm not on orders, how long can I book a room?

    Visitors may stay up to seven days if space is available. During peak season, Lodging stops accepting reservations for visitors 30 days in advance due to the demands from official travelers. Visitors are welcome to check with the Lodging office after 6 p.m. hours each day for availability.

    Why can't I get a room at the Distinguished Visitor's Quarters upon request?

    Army Lodging has seven DVQ suites. Once rooms are occupied or reservations has been confirmed, we cannot accommodate additional requests.

    I'm a 18-year-old dependent child traveling without my parents. Can I make lodging reservations?

    No, your sponsor must accompany you as a dependent child.

    I'm not a league bowler. When is the best day for me to bring my family into bowl?

    Thursday is Dollar Day at The Lanes. In the summer from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m., games and shoes are $1 and there is a $1 menu in the Pin Deck Cafe. From Aug. 15 to May 30, the hours for Dollar Day are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Also, open bowling is available on Saturdays and Sundays with prime slots available for birthday parties.     Is there a place where my group can meet at The Lanes?

    Yes, The Lounge at The Lanes has facilities for groups as large as 85. The Lounge has the facility to show presentations on multiple monitors and can also partition off the back room of The Lounge for smaller groups. The Lounge can also cater your event.     I'm tired of fast food is there a place where I can get something other than just Pizza and Burgers?

    The Pin Deck Cafe offers daily specials from Monday to Friday, which ranges from spaghetti to "soul food." The Pin Deck Cafe also serves burgers and pizza as well as wraps. For more information, please call The Pin Deck Cafe at 301-677-5541.

    Where is the hotel located on post?

    The Army Lodging main office is located off of Mapes Road at 2793 Hawkins Drive, which is next to Burger King.

    Are there any plans to renovate the hotel?

    Lodging is schedule to be privatized within the next year. Once the private vendor takes over, the existing rooms will be renovated until the new hotel has been built.
