Tree work scheduled, traffic delays possible

Image of a road construction barrier Rock Avenue will be closed from Hodges Street to Taylor Avenue beginning around 8 a.m. Friday to remove structurally unsound trees and limbs.

Traffic will be redirected around the work from Dutt Road to Taylor Avenue until the completion of the work in the afternoon. Tenants and visitors will have access to Building 77 from Remont Road off of Rock Avenue.

DPW and Melwood are working together to remove structurally unsound trees and limbs to improve Fort George G. Meade.

Each tree selected for removal has been evaluated by an ISA Certified Arborist. We appreciate your patience with temporary lane closures, potential delays and any other inconvenience this work may cause.
