Latest information (as of  Aug. 16):

Workers have started on a three-month project on the gate at Mapes Road and Maryland Route 32 to improve the infrastructure. Because there will be lane-closures and delays during the construction, drivers are advised to use other gates to enter and leave the installation.

The Baltimore Gas & Electric Co. privatization construction project continues on post. Expect intermittent road closures on Ernie Pyle Street between Reece and Mapes roads. Construction is slated for completion August 20th.

Construction to improve the infrastructure at the Mapes Road and Maryland Route 32 Access Control Point has commenced. The project will last approximately three months, and as such, motorists should expect new traffic patterns, reduced traffic lanes, and periodic delays. Inbound and outbound traffic will be reduced to one lane at the ID check point during the construction period. It is recommended motorists use another ACP to access and depart the installation for the duration of the construction process.

The third phase of road improvements continues along Cooper Avenue from Reece to Mapes Road. The third and final phase of construction is scheduled for completion by the end of August.

Remember to slow down in construction zones and follow posted detour signs. Running or walking in or near construction sites is prohibited.

Construction work dates are subject to change.
