Fort Meade Logo Base Realignment and Closure

Construction workers begin work on the new facility to house the Defense Information Systems Agency at Fort Meade Heavy equipment, hard hats and road detours are becoming common sights on Fort Meade as construction projects to accommodate the Base Realignment and Closure moves have started in earnest.

The abundance of construction will continue to cause some disruption of traffic on the installation over the next three years as periodic lane and road closures become necessary. Mapes Road, Cooper Avenue and Rockenbach Road will see the greatest amount of disruption.
