Mission

The Army Career and Alumni Program delivers a world-class transition program for America's Army that ensures all eligible transitioners have the knowledge, skills and self-confidence necessary to be competitive in the global workforce. ACAP helps transitioners to make informed career decisions through benefits counseling and employment assistance.

What is ACAP?

The Army Career and Alumni Program was created by the Army to provide world-class transition and job assistance services to retiring or separating Soldiers, Department of Army civilian employees and their family members who have selflessly served their nation.? The program is mandated by Congress and embedded in Army and DoD policy.

How to get started with ACAP

To get started with your ACAP process, you must register to attend a pre-separation briefing.? This briefing is mandatory for all transitioning personnel.? Transitioning personnel consist of active duty Soldiers and Reserve Component Soldiers who are demobilizing or separating after at least 180 days on active duty.

We conduct the ACAP pre-separation briefing on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. by appointment.? The briefing is held at 2234 Huber Road, Room 11.

Upon completion of the pre-separation briefing you will receive your DD2648/2648-1 (Pre-Separation Checklist).? The DD2648/2648-1 is the prerequisite to all other services.

You may register and schedule to start ACAP at www.acapexpress.army.mil or call 301-677-9871.
